Hello my fine young sodalists and friends of Mary!

It has been a long time since this blog has had any activity, but I think it is time to forge ahead.  I don't even think I knew about it!  Bet even IF I did, there just was not enough time to "keep at it."

However, with the influx of new members, and the advancement of our wonderful and reliable senior Sodalists, I do see new hope for a more consistent investment.  We will give this platform a try to see if it is an effective tool of communication for us.
I look forward to many beautiful moments and memories shared together in honor of Our Blessed Mother!

May God bless you!

Remember to pray the Rosary daily especially during this month of the Holy Rosary.

It's been awhile ... again!

At our recent Sodality meeting, we mentioned that it had been TOO long since we posted anything here.  And we also discussed the book The Imitation of Mary, by Thomas a Kempis.  So ... for at least a quick attempt to update the blog, here is an online source for that great text.

Maybe some of you will find it a helpful resource.  The St. Ignatius Library here in Spokane also has at least one copy!

It's Been A While!

It has been way too long since we've posted anything on this blog...SORRY!  But, with our new year starting, we have a few things to share...and we hope to be better in the year ahead! We are excited to have 7 new members join us ... ceremonies will be held in November.

These photos are from our annual procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima, held during the annual Fatima Conference.  The weather was perfect and there was a great crowd gathered for this beautiful tribute to Our Blessed Mother!

These photos were from earlier this month, when we had a little lunch celebration in honor of our patron, St. Therese of Lisieux...

And this last batch of photos are from our outing to Montana in September...

Our Lady's Rosary Path

The combined Sodalities at St. Michaels held a special event in May, to help honor Our Lady and add beauty to her Rosary Path.  We purchased 3 different types of flowers and planters, planted them, and put one by each of the 15 pillars for the mysteries of the rosary!  They look beautiful.  And, so far ... 2 weeks out ... the deer have not eaten them!  We hope that continues!''

Last Meeting for Most Holy Rosary Sodality

 Dear Fellow Sodalists,

Praised be Jesus and Mary! Since the Sisters will be leaving before First Saturday in June, Most Holy Rosary Sodality had their last meeting today by having a little Marian Tea Party. Enjoying cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa, Sr. Mary Teresita, Tammy Bird, and her daughters went over the highlights of this year, and things to keep in mind for the Summer. We greet all of you other sodalists throughout the country as you finish off the school year and get ready for vacation as well. God bless you!

Good Friday and Easter Sunday

The greatest mysteries of our Faith occurred on the first Good Friday and Easter Sunday. At St. Michael's, these two feasts are opportunities for our Sodalists to work for the parish ... especially for the moms and children.  We once again hosted the annual Good Friday Children's Program, and the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday.  These two events have a tradition of nearly 50 years in our parish, and despite being a lot of work for the Sodalists, are a joy for the children and much appreciated by our pastor and the children's parents...a real labor of love for our members!
